QMC Capoeira at BD Carnival 2025!

|

One of the most electrifying moments of this year’s festival was the high-energy performance from @qmccapoeira.stgo – blending dance, music, rhythm and martial arts into one breathtaking spectacle.

A little history: Capoeira was created by enslaved Africans in Brazil as both a form of resistance and a way to preserve culture. Disguised as dance, it combined powerful kicks, flowing movements and music – becoming a symbol of freedom, resilience and identity.

At BD Carnival, the roda (circle) came alive with acrobatics, flips and playful combat – all driven by the beat of the berimbau, handclaps and songs. The energy was infectious, pulling the crowd right into the rhythm.

@qmccapoeira.stgo didn’t just perform, they shared history, heritage@and joy – reminding us that carnival is a space where cultures connect and thrive together.
