What a journey!
For 12 weeks (just one 2hr session a week), we joined a mas camp with @ukoncareers and @alfredowear.uk to design and make our own carnival costumes for Barking Carnival 2025 and my young empress soaked up every moment designing our costumes and helping me make them.
It wasn’t just about glue guns and feathers. She learned the why behind carnival, the history, the resistance, the pride!
