What a fantastic time we had at our Steel Pan Community Workshops today! We didn’t just deliver one, but two incredible sessions, and they were an absolute hit! The sound, the rhythm, the energy, it was pure magic. Thanking Shareen from the Steel Pan Trust for her amazing teaching skills…and for bringing steel pan vibes to John Smith House.

To turn up the vibes even more, our Carnival Dance Workshop brought a colourful burst of carnival culture while keeping everyone moving and smiling.

A huge shoutout to Red Fox from Barking & Dagenham Youth Dance for delivering a session packed with energy, good vibes, laughter, and learning. The session was buzzing!

And we can’t forget our Craft Workshops, where children and parents got hands-on, creative, and fully embraced the spirit of carnival.
