Being immersed in this creative space allowed us to gain valuable skills and a deeper understanding of wire bending and pattern cutting at the heart of mas making.
Learning directly from local, talented, Trinidadian, homegrown creatives made the experience even more meaningful. Their knowledge, craftsmanship and passion for the art form were generously shared, and we felt genuinely honoured to learn from them in Trinidad.
Moments like these remind us of the power of culture, creativity and community. The skills gained and lessons learned will stay with us far beyond the camp.
