We were completely blown away by the vibes, electricity, passion, skill and creativity on display. The atmosphere was unreal and it truly brought goosebumps.

We have shared some powerful pictures of Pan Elders Steel Orchestra, a medium band with a huge number of very young people who were absolutely electrifying. Their performance along The Drag before heading up to the main stage was a moment we will never forget.

We are also sharing images capturing the logistics of moving from The Drag to the main performance stage. Watching the steel bands make their way through with such coordination, energy and anticipation was exciting and impressive.

Pan forms a significant part of carnival culture and tradition and being part of this experience reminded us just how powerful and important this music is.

We are also incredibly excited to include pan at Barking and Dagenham Carnival 2026, taking place on Saturday 11 July. Watch this space .
