There is something truly special about witnessing carnival through the eyes of children. Attending the St James Children’s Carnival reminded us that carnival is not just a celebration, it is community, culture and legacy in motion.

From the moment the parade began, you could feel how the community wraps itself around the children. Parents, elders, neighbours and friends all showed up with pride, encouragement, and so much love. Every smile, every costume adjustment, every cheer from the sidelines spoke volumes
