In these workshop attendees are developing a hands-on experience about the Tamboo Bamboo, its cultural heritage, and the skills to perform and plan the Tamboo bamboo. This course fits comfortably within music curriculums in schools, colleges, and community settings. It will support literacy, numeracy, confidence, and employability skills.
Learn a traditional piece of music using tamboo bamboo and gain an understanding of the origin of Tamboo Bamboo.

Background:
Tamboo comes from the French word “tambour” which means drum. The instrument was banned after it was feared that the drums were being used as a means of communication. Tamboo Bamboo made its first appearance at Carnival in 1891.
